National Space Academy Workshop
Our Higher Physics pupils participated in an exciting workshop led by the National Space Academy. This hands-on experience allowed students to delve into the wonders of space science. They engaged in a variety of exciting activities, including becoming "Masstronauts" to calculate the mass of an astronaut in space, exploring spectroscopy to analyze light from distant stars, and tackling the hazards of human spaceflight and radiation exposure. This immersive day gave students a deeper understanding of space science and the challenges faced by astronauts, hopefully sparking curiosity and ambition for future STEM careers.
